Pretty Place Restoration and Upgrades

Built in 1941, the Fred W. Symmes Chapel, known as Pretty Place sits atop Standing Stone Mountain at 3,200 feet, offering sweeping views of Greenville County. After sustaining significant damage from Hurricane Helene in 2024, Hogan was chosen by the YMCA to restore the open-air sanctuary, preserving its rustic charm and historic character.
