Stonecrest Branch Library: Lithonia, GA

The new Stonecrest Branch Library adds 25,000 square feet to the DeKalb County Public Library as part of the 2005 Bond Referendum Construction Program. Hogan delivered this new facility with the construction management at risk method and is seeking LEED Certification. The unique facility boasts a 63,500 volume collection and includes children’s and teen’s areas, two six-seat study rooms, audiovisual collection area, magazine collection area, a computer lab for public use and 42 public access computers throughout.

The Library also includes a 175-seat auditorium, 65-seat meeting room, self checkout stations and a café. Located in a bustling DeKalb community in close proximity to public transportation, the library accommodates 220 cars for daily visitors and public meetings.
