Safety:
At Hogan Construction Group safety is everyone's responsibility. Our comprehensive program of checks and balances, administered and monitored by our Safety Director, exceeds the standard in the marketplace. All Hogan Construction Group projects fully comply with OSHA requirements for workplace safety.
Part of our commitment to safety is our ongoing inspection program. Each project superintendent conducts a weekly self-inspection, which is kept on file at the job-site as well as our home office. Weekly jobsite safety meeting incorporating safety topics are held at each project. In addition to self-inspections, Hogan has partnered with Georgia Institute of Technology to conduct independent third party inspections of all base-building and major renovation projects. Georgia Tech conducts a full OSHA review of the job-site and construction practices being utilized at that site.
A third avenue of achieving jobsite safety are the inspections made and reviewed with the job Superintendent by a Hogan Project Manager during their weekly site visits. Should a Superintendent be guilty of three offensives for the same infraction, they are subject to dismissal from the Company.
Beyond the physical inspections of our jobs, Superintendents and Assistant Superintendents have at a minimum attended the OSHA 10 HR training class, first aid and CPR classes, as well as classes in scaffolding safety, fall protection, and trench safety.
Hogan Construction Group is so dedicated to safety that we are happy to report that we are one out of thirteen general contractors in Georgia to have been successfully accepted into the CHASE program. The CHASE program is a partnership between OSHA, participating general contractors, and the AGC (Association of General Contractors) designed to permute safety within the industry. The CHASE program ensures and demands the highest safety standards in the industry and offers us and opportunity to mentor other contractors. This prestigious opportunity allows us to be on the cutting edge of safety legislation, technology and implementation.
Hogan Construction Group has been fortunate to never have a major accident. Our current insurance experience modifier is .72.
Hogan is a certified drug-free workplace and all employees must pass a drug-screening test before being hired and are subject to random drug tests throughout their tenure with the Company.
The Hogan Safety Director leads the Safety Committee which is made up of Hogan Project Managers and Superintendents. The Committee is charged with the constant review of Hogan Safety policies and procedures to insure each Hogan employee remains current. Project specific safety concerns are brought before the committee for its review and recommendations. The safety committee regularly reviews employee training and supervises any additional or upgrade training required by Hogan employees.
Our subcontracts also contain specific language mandating that Subcontractors will comply with our safety plan. Our goal on all projects is zero lost time accidents. Hogan has obtained zero lost time accidents in the following years:
