Norcross, GA – May 3, 2006 – Hogan Construction Group, LLC has been awarded two new Medical Office Building projects through qualifications based selection including the Northeast Georgia Heart Center and the Cooper Lake Medical Office Building. Northeast Georgia Heart Center is a provider of comprehensive cardiac services, and is opening a new location in Cumming, GA. The $1.5 M new building will be a single story 11,000 square foot clinic. Cooper Lake Medical Office Building will be a $1.6 M two story 15,000 square foot base building in Smyrna, GA that will house a WellStar Urgent Care Facility on the first floor.
“These projects are crucial for Hogan Construction Group since the execution of our business plan calls for expanding our work in the healthcare market.” says Mike Hoey, Vice President of Operations overseeing the Hogan Healthcare Group. Mike views these project wins as a direct result of his group’s efforts to focus on healthcare construction, and create opportunities for Hogan Construction Group in the expanding healthcare market.
Both projects were awarded based on qualifications based selection where Hogan was competing with three to four other General Contractors. All considered firms were required to present their experience and proposals to the Owner in a presentation format. Hogan Construction was selected on these projects in particular due to the quality and competency of the team assembled to complete the project for the Owner, and by demonstrating a strong commitment to the success of the projects from the initial stages.
