Oakes House Rehabilitation: Lawrenceville, GA

Originally constructed in 1893, The Mayor Jewel Oakes House in Lawrenceville, Georgia is an historic structure once owned by Julius C. Oakes and family. Mr. Oakes served as Mayor of Lawrenceville from 1948 to 1950.

Hogan provided construction management services in the rehabilitation of this historic facility, including interior renovations, a new porch and exterior paint to restore the Oakes House to its former glory. The house now serves as the Visitors’ Center for Lawrenceville, as well as the administrative office for the Lawrenceville Trade and Tourism Association and the Downtown Development Authority. Hogan provided extensive value engineering, constructability reviews, project management.
