Gwinnett County Instructional Support Center: Suwanee, Georgia

Gwinnett Instructional Support Center, Suwanee, GeorgiaWhen the Gwinnett County Board of Education approved the purchase and re-use of an existing manufacturing facility to house the school system’s instructional and support personnel, Hogan understood their client’s core needs and rose to the challenge. The new Instructional Support Center was to house over 500 staff members who supported Business and Finance, Educational Leadership, Human Resources, Information Management and Organizational Advancement.

Additionally, the facility was to house the CEO/Superintendent’s Office, an Adult Learning Center and School Board meetings. The availability of this facility was crucial to freeing up valuable educational space in existing school facilities. The project included the complete reconfiguration of internal HVAC components and installation of a new DDC control system. Through procurement of around the clock shifts at no additional cost to the owner, Hogan was able to transform over 365,000 square feet of interior space in six months.

Building 100 was completed one month ahead of schedule. Building 200 was completed four months ahead of schedule while producing excellent quality and no lost time accidents.
