Dallas Police Department: Dallas, Georgia

The Dallas Police Department had outgrown their existing facilities and was separated from the 911/Dispatch center. Hogan Construction Group renovated the existing building and built a 4,542 SF addition that is connected to the City Court next door.

The two-story addition off the rear of the existing building expanded functionality by adding interview rooms, an intox area, a large squad common area, two new bathrooms with showers and lockers, an armory, and elevator. The second floor is now home to the 911/Dispatch center with break room, offices, records room, and evidence room with caged area for weapons. The structure is wood and metal with a brick and EIFS skin.

Renovation work of the existing space included the main lobby, offices, break room, and separating a large room on the second floor into two offices. Hogan had to perform demolition of several areas including the stairwell, offices, and vault. The police department remained operational during construction and generators were brought in to maintain the 911/Dispatch center when the addition powered up. Hogan also installed a new emergency generator system.
