Paul Hogan - President :
In the construction world there is a vast difference between “theory” and “real world”. As a young man, Paul Hogan worked for 10 years as a laborer, carpenter and foreman on construction sites gaining unmatched “real world” building experience. Following his formal education, he acquired expertise in the financial side of construction as a Senior Estimator, the Operations side as Chief Operations Officer and managerial and leadership principles as a Group President for Georgia’s largest General Contractor/Construction Management firm. Paul has managed, priced and estimated projects that range from $10,000 to $117 million during his 30 years of construction experience.
Since founding Hogan Construction Group in 1998, Paul has gained a reputation as a “Builder’s Builder”………doing it right the first time and not taking short cuts that will reduce the project’s quality. As a fast track specialist and an expert in program development, he is very hands on, personally involved and deeply committed to his clients’ project success. You will see Paul in his hard hat and boots, inspecting a jobsite or personally testing and driving a new piece of heavy equipment.
The principles of Paul’s dedication, hard work and philosophy are weaved throughout the corporate focus on purpose and legacy. Its stated purpose is “to provide solutions that translate visions into realities” with an underlying philosophy “to build more than buildings but also to build people, careers and relationships”. Ultimately, Hogan Construction Group, seeks an enduring legacy for its people that is bigger than any one individual. This rock solid foundation has had a definite impact on the steady growth and success of Hogan Construction Group and will for years to come.

Liz Punch - Vice President of Interiors:
Ready for new challenges and opportunities, Liz Punch, Vice President of Interiors for Hogan Construction Group, is known for her tenaciousness and absolute resolution for doing things right – the first time around.
According to Tony Aeck with Lord Aeck Sargent Architecture , “Liz is a unique person to have on your team. She is grounded in a detailed knowledge of construction processes from her years of hands-on experience, and supremely caring about the mission of your project. She is also cheerful and friendly as can be, but ready to go toe to toe with whomever to get things right."
From working summers on a residential surveying crew some 30 years ago . . . to working all night to make sure a property was ready for occupancy for the Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Liz learned long ago that in order to be successful, being afraid to get her hands dirty and do whatever it takes to get things done is not an option. From owning her own construction consulting company, she learned how to wear all “hats” and the absolute necessity of managing and streamlining all possible processes in order to maximize the use of time and resources.
In her 26 years on the job, Liz has worked on interiors, renovations and additions. Her portfolio consists of such jobs as: Project (or Construction) Manager for over 750 loft conversion units in Atlanta; Program Manager for the 65,000 square foot multi-phased addition, expansion and renovation of Atlanta Speech School; Project Manager for multiple historic renovations including The Biltmore, Fulton and Cherokee County Courthouses; and Project Manager for multiple high end residential projects throughout Atlanta. Liz began her career as an estimator in Dallas, Texas in 1982. Through diligence and hard work she was subsequently awarded the titles of project engineer, senior project estimator, project manager and senior project manager and vice president.
Mike Tomlin – Chief Estimator:
Mike Tomlin is well suited and dedicated to his role as Chief Estimator. He is enthusiastic about what he does, enjoys it and relishes the challenge of “building a project in his mind” as he works to minimize costs and establish priorities. During preconstruction, he meets weekly with the Owner and Architect to develop and revise pricing options, provide value analysis and discuss constructability issues. Mike knows the importance and impact the accuracy of his work has on project success and achieving the Owner’s goals.
In addition to personally estimating more than 35 projects during the last 12 months, Mike oversaw and reviewed all estimates completed by his Department. Under his leadership, his team estimated more than 90 projects of various types during that same time frame. Next, especially with projects that have a lengthy preconstruction phase, Mike tackles the Master Project Schedule to establish milestone dates. He meticulously tracks critical events to prevent any schedule lag or delays.
