City of Atlanta Fire Station #28: Atlanta, GA

Hogan Construction Group was selected to perform the construction of this one-story, 12,650 SF structure that houses Fire Station #28, Police Substation, Community Conference Room and Clock Tower.

The Fire Station includes two truck-bays, a ten-bunk dormitory, living quarters with kitchen, bathrooms, exercise room, shop, decontamination room, laundry room, office, storage and mechanical room.

The Police Substation includes a reception area and offices and the Community Room be comprised of a 1,600 SF conference room with restroom facilities.

The scope included the demolition of the current driveway and asphalt paving, clearing and grading, site work and inclusion of a stormwater drainage system. The exterior finishes will include brick and concrete masonry load-bearing walls, steel bar joists and beams, metal deck and metal roof. Exterior windows will be aluminium frame with one-inch insulated double-glass windows. Above the first floor, the tower consists of an EIFS finish.

Interior finishes include concrete masonry, ceramic tile floor, six-foot wainscot, stain-finished concrete floors, acoustical ceiling tile and ceiling fans.

This project will be submitted for LEED Silver certification.
