Chastain Park Amphitheater: Atlanta, GA

Located in the Buckhead area of Atlanta, Chastain Park Amphitheatre is a unique, outdoor concert venue that showcases a variety of performers during throughout the year. When it was determined that the 6,000-seat amphitheater required an extensive renovation during the off-peak season, the City of Atlanta — in joint venture with Clear Channel (now Live Nation) and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra — contracted with Hogan Construction Group to complete the work in time for the first spring performance.

Prior to construction, the team allocated six months for the extensive systems and aesthetic renovation work only to have the start date delayed due to permitting issues. By working with the City to expedite the permitting process as much as possible, Hogan was able to recover against the extremely tight schedule. However, midway through the project, the schedule was shortened by nearly four weeks to accommodate the season’s headlining performer’s altered tour schedule. Hogan increased their renovation efforts and was able to complete the fast-track project on time for the first performance of the spring season.

Nestled in a 268-acre distinguished park surrounded by hundred-year-old trees, the amphitheatre displays a fiberglass roofing system. The venue includes a box office, concessions, green room, performer commissary and kitchen.
